The fight over the federal eviction moratorium is heating up after a federal judge gave the Biden administration a Friday deadline to respond to a legal challenge brought by a group of property owners.
The landlords, led by the Alabama Association of Realtors, filed an emergency motion late Wednesday to stop the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from enacting another eviction ban after the previous moratorium expired July 31.
