Adam Renfro Chrisney​

Development Associate

Adam is the Development Associate for the New Civil Liberties Alliance. He has nearly 30 years of government relations experience and excels in fundraising, event coordinating and strategic communications. In addition, he has expertise in legislative, regulatory and budget processes. He is skilled in fundraising, securing donor and membership contributions and sponsoring donor events, primarily in the last 8 years. He is also talented in public relations as well as event planning and management.

In prior positions, he served in Congress for 8 years with former Sen. Alfonse M. D’Amato (R-NY) and former Rep. Greg Ganske (R-IA-1). He later lobbied Congress and related agencies for 12 years with Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville PC, B&D Sagamore and other entities on behalf of a broad spectrum of clients, and mostly focused on healthcare policy.

He earned his B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. Adam resides in Virginia with his wife Debra. He is devoted to playing chess and organizing related events: over about the last 15 years, he has managed the DC Metro area’s premier chess club; served the state of Virginia’s chess community as President and Board Member of the VA Chess Federation from 2011-2021; and earned VA State Amateur chess titles in 2011 and 2019.
