NCLA's Class-Action Lawsuit Against the CDC

March 30, 2021

NCLA’s Senior Litigation Counsel John Vecchione joins “The Bill Meyer Show” on AM 1440 KMED to discuss NCLA’s class-action lawsuit against the CDC’s unlawful eviction moratorium.

Key takeaways:

• The CDC does not have the ability to stop your access to state court. U.S. District Judge John Barker recently held that Congress doesn’t even have that power.

• NCLA filed a class-action lawsuit because although there have been cases of the court overruling the eviction moratorium, that ruling only applies to that specific instance. We hope our suit will apply to every housing provider across the country. Learn more about our case here.
