NCLA is defending the free speech rights of physicians on behalf of five California doctors in the case Høeg v. Newsom. AB2098 tells the California Medical Board to discipline doctors who spread “so-called” misinformation about Covid-19. However, most doctors agree that this bill will most definitely have a chilling effect on the ability of physicians to engage in open and honest conversations and discussions about Covid with their patients.
